Store and Marketplace Collections in Bradford

Bought something that will not fit in the car? Bradford Man and Van collects suitable furniture, appliances and bulky boxed purchases from shops, warehouses and private sellers around Bradford. Every booking includes two movers and one Luton van.

This service is designed for a defined collection and delivery, not a full household removal. It can cover a sofa from a retailer, a wardrobe from a private seller, an appliance from a warehouse or several related items collected under one order.

Collections Across the City

Bradford collection points range from city-centre shops and Forster Square retailers to premises around Canal Road and Leeds Road. North-west along the BD corridor, Shipley, Bingley and Keighley have retail parks, high-street sellers and private collections, with Silsden and Steeton at the outer local edge. Some sites have proper loading areas; others use a timed service entrance away from the customer entrance.

Private purchases bring different questions. A seller in a Great Horton terrace may have limited parking and tight internal access, while an address in Wibsey, Thornton or Queensbury may involve steps or a sloping carry to the van. The item and the route out of the property both need checking.

Check the Purchase Before Booking the Van

Confirm the item

Ask for accurate measurements and recent photographs. Product-page dimensions may not show detachable feet, packaging or the space needed to turn furniture through a doorway.

Confirm the collection arrangements

For a shop or warehouse, check the order number, named customer, collection point and opening hours. Make sure the retailer will release the item to the person collecting it and that any identification requirements are understood.

Confirm the seller

For a marketplace purchase, agree the address, contact number, payment and collection time directly with the seller. We transport the item but do not inspect it on the buyer's behalf or settle disputes about condition.

Confirm access at delivery

Tell us about stairs, lifts, narrow doors, parking and the room where the item is going. If it will not fit through the intended route, two movers and a van cannot solve that on arrival.

Furniture That Needs Taking Apart

Beds, tables and selected wardrobes can sometimes be dismantled and reassembled when agreed in advance. The seller must allow time and space for this. Flat-pack and fragile furniture can be damaged if dismantled after years of use, so the condition and construction need assessing from photographs first.

Appliances and Heavy Purchases

Washing machines, fridges and other appliances must be disconnected and prepared before collection. Any water or fixed electrical connection should be dealt with by an appropriate person, not left for the moving team.

The Luton van has no tail lift. Extremely heavy items, machinery, safes and specialist equipment may not be suitable even with two movers. Give the weight where available and do not describe an item as manageable simply because two people moved it into the property.

Collection Timing

Same-day work may be possible, but it depends on the existing schedule, the collection window and having enough information to quote safely. A shop closing in an hour or a seller who is about to leave does not guarantee that a van can reach them in time.

For the best chance of a straightforward collection, arrange it before paying for an item that must be removed immediately. If you are moving just one piece, our single-item collection page explains the access and measurement checks in more detail.

Information Needed for a Collection Quote

Send photographs, item dimensions, pickup and delivery postcodes, floor levels, parking information, collection times and whether dismantling is required. With those details, Craig can confirm whether the purchase fits the van, the team and the available time.
