Choose a collection time that works with opening hours and building access. Label boxes by destination, keep related files or stock together, and make sure confidential material is secured by the business. Computers, printers and electrical equipment should be shut down, disconnected and prepared by someone authorised to do so.

If the new premises are not ready, say so. Waiting for keys, contractors or access can turn a straightforward transfer into a much longer booking. The quote should include known restrictions rather than relying on everything going perfectly.
